Grab a HINDER… stay awhile.

Built from the past.

Every element of this space has been carefully sourced from Wisconsin history, including door trim from the 1855 home of Wisconsin’s fifth governor Coles Bashford, brick walls made from Chicago Pinks reclaimed from a demolished Milwaukee building, and a bow truss ceiling originally built in Minnesota in the 1940s and 50s, redesigned by a local engineer to remove the original 2×4 ties in favor of a cleaner 5/8″ rod system. The grey wood on the bar, walls, and trim is hard maple from a Slinger railroad loading dock, the small bar top was crafted from a pickle brine barrel out of Green Bay, and crate ends from clothing shipments received here in the 1940s and 50s now form an entire wall. Personal touches round out the space, including two furniture groupings from the home of Harold and Gertie — Jackie’s parents — spanning the 1950s through 2003, while the origin of the red “I” beams, reclaimed in the 1960s during the brewery’s construction, remains a mystery to this day.

Have a look around.
